With all the different diet products and supplements on the market today, it’s easy to get confused. All the products claim that they’ll make you lose weight, but at the same time they are totally different.
I’ve written reviews on some of the more popular diet products here earlier, but today I’d like to zoom out and look at the market from a birds-view. There are plenty of reviews online for diet and weight loss products, and I hope that this and similar articles, along with my reviews referenced here will make the buying decision easier for you.
In this article we’ll take a look at some of the best diet supplements on the market today! If you have any suggestions, or products you feel like we should mention here, send me an email and I’ll make sure to update the list! However, I will only include products that has been shown to work in clinical studies, and products that are known to work.
If you have any questions, leave a comment below. If you have a question, probably 1000 others are wondering about just the same thing. In that way, other readers can also benefit from the discussion.
Forskolin or Elite Forskolin is a supplement based on a natural plant extract. It is said to help you combat cravings for sugar, fast food and other un-healthy “junk food”. It’s therefore a really helpful product if you’re on a diet.
Forskolin makes it much easier to stick to your diet — but it works mainly when you combine it with a healthy diet and exercise. It’s sort of an extra boost — and it’s great when you’re first starting out.
It fights the cravings, and it’s easier for you to stick to your diet. This helps you lose weight in the beginning of the diet, and it’s a huge motivation booster for later success! You can read my review of elite forskolin here.
Pure Green Coffee Bean Extract
Green coffee beans isn’t anything magical. If you’re not familiar with coffee and roasting (I guess most people aren’t), all coffee beans are actually green before they are roasted, ground and served in your espresso.
The green coffee beans have been shown in clinical studies to block the absorption of fats and carbs.
Another good side-effect of this extract, is that it curbs your appetite. You may have felt this — to a lesser degree — when drinking regular coffee or espresso? This is why so many athletes and models swear to green coffee — it helps them manage their weight by simply curbing their appetite.
Green coffee also has the benefit that it gives you more energy, like coffee and caffeine based products are known to do. This makes working out easier — and you’ll end up burning more calories.
What I’d really like to point out here, is that you have to make sure you get the pure extract. Anyone can call their product green coffee extract, it doesn’t even have to contain green coffee at all. When you’re buying pure green coffee extract, you’re getting just that. You can read my review of pure green coffee bean extract here — where I also recommend some solid US provider I have personally tried, and that offer 100% pure products.
Pure Raspberry Ketone
Raspberry Ketone is a herbal supplement said to help you lose weight. The product has been showcased on numerous TV shows, like Dr. OZ.
The name of the product pretty much sums it up. It’s based on raspberries. The chemical compound raspberry ketone is the part of the raspberry responsible for it’s nice aroma. It is also found in smaller amounts in some perfumes, and in aromatic products.
Natural raspberry ketone is expensive, and it’s therefore not commonly used in natural form in perfumes. Instead they use a synthetic variant, which isn’t nearly as good nor powerful. Some of the cheaper variants of Raspberry ketone supplements are also using synthetics — and then the whole point is gone.
I have previously reviwed pure raspberry ketone here. I bought it from a manufacturer that makes it in The US. I’ll talk more about that in that article.
This word has been on everybody’s lips the last few years. Garcinia Cambogia is a natural fruit, better known in science as Garcinia gummi-gutta. It’s a natural fat burner, and several people and reviewers have reported good results from using it in combination with modifying their diet.
It’s important to point out that non of these products will work very well in isolation. They are called supplements for a reason! For the best effect, you should combine them with exercise and lower your calories. However, they are perfect as a kick-start, or to get more out of your diet.
Let’s say that you’re going on a holiday, or you’re a bit late on your way to lose weight before the summer. These supplements will make it easier, and thanks to appetite curbing effects and a decrease in sugar-cravings, it makes your diet easier.
Garcinia Cambogia was one of the first supplements I tried, and I did a quick write up and some reviews here: my review of garcinia cambogia.
White Kidney Bean Extract
The last one out is White Kidney Bean Extract (my reviews can be found here). This one works as a starch/carbohydrate blocker. It means that if you eat carbohydrate heavy foods like fast-food, sugary drinks or other food with a high content of carbohydrates — this supplement will block the absorption.
I have mentioned a bit on how this works, and linked to some studies along with a trusted US based manufacturer in my review above.
